A Victorian ceramic lidded biscuit barrel in a decorative silver plated stand. Barrel with printed blue & white Willow pattern, by James Macintyre & Co, decorative silver plated top rim with foliate design. Lid has ornate bird, butterfly and foliate decoration and lion shaped finial holding a shield with an empty cartouche. Shaped base with sunburst designs, with galleried holder for barrel, raised on 3 bun feet. No marks to silver plate. Barrel stamped J M & Co to underside. Total height approx. 20cm, barrel approx. 13.5cm diameter.
Barrel has crazing to glaze throughout and a couple of blemishes/chips to the surface of the glaze.
